Hi Bob! I came home from a mid-day massage, ready to retreat from the ridiculous heatwave plaguing NC, and lo and behold - a box was in my mailbox. And inside - my new glasses. They are adorable and if I pile my hair up just right, I can look like a Far Side character.
Anyway....what a deal, what a treat and I will spread the word that people should check you out!

now in stock!

The Chris Gardner Thick Eye is shipping now! Our popular Thick Eye frame has been redesigned by Chris Gardner, author of The Pursuit of Happyness and Start Where You Are, into a great tortoise blue combination.

Blue is big big big this season! The frame features a speckled tortoise front in seaglass colors of brown, gold, clear and blue with deep cobalt blue temples. It's the perfect frame to give a modern look to a navy blue suit or add some pizazz to jeans and a t-shirt! The Chris Gardner Thick Eye isn't just for men, it looks great on the ladies too!

75% of the proceeds from Chris Gardner's Thick Eye will go to the Glide Memorial Foundation in San Francisco. The Glide Memorial Church provided refuge for Chris and his son during their bout with homelessness in the early eighties.

eyebobbers on a stick!

Last week, the staff of eyebobs eyewear spent an afternoon riding around the St. Anthony Main area of Minneapolis on Segway Human Transporters – two wheeled contraptions that turned us all into out of control speed demons.

The Magical History Tour presented by Humans on a Stick follows a five mile stretch of the Mississippi River, with frequent stops to detail the history of the area, including the flour milling industry of the 19th century, the Stone Arch Bridge, and the world famous Guthrie Theater.

Tours on Segways are definitely the way to go! After the tutorial and a bit of practice on them we had no trouble controlling our inner speed demons. We're hoping for Segway racing on our next outing!

"I travel and lecture around the world and I'm constantly asked, 'Where did you get those cool reading glasses?' In answer, I give out the http://www.eyebobs.com/ web address. It's very cool because the eyebobs line of reading glasses allows me to make a visual statement about ME and MY style. People pick up on that and they want their own pair of eyebobs. Thanks for making such a cool product."

for a good cause

Chris Gardner, a long time eyebobs fan and author of The Pursuit of Happyness and Start Where You Are, has partnered with eyebobs eyewear to redesign his favorite frame, Thick Eye. Chris chose a tortoise front with blue speckles and deep blue temples for a year round look to compliment any wardrobe.

Seventy-five percent of the proceeds from Chris Gardner's Thick Eye will go to a charity near to his heart, the Glide Memorial Foundation in San Francisco. The Glide Memorial Church provided refuge for Chris and his son during their bout with homelessness in the early eighties.

The frame will be available in July but you can preorder today. Pick up a copy of Chris' most recent book, Start Where You Are, now available in paperback to read when your new Chris Gardner's Thick Eye arrives!

eyebobs customer quote

I was getting a pedicure/manicure at a little shop on Grand Ave in St. Paul. I put my glasses down on the table and moments later a woman picked them up and put them in her purse. I said 'er um ah I think those are mine' and she said 'no they’re mine'. She put them on and realized that we had the same glasses! She proceeded to haul out about six different pairs from her purse and told me how much she loves eyebobs.
