Last week, the staff of eyebobs eyewear spent an afternoon riding around the St. Anthony Main area of Minneapolis on Segway Human Transporters – two wheeled contraptions that turned us all into out of control speed demons.

The Magical History Tour presented by Humans on a Stick follows a five mile stretch of the Mississippi River, with frequent stops to detail the history of the area, including the flour milling industry of the 19th century, the Stone Arch Bridge, and the world famous Guthrie Theater.

Tours on Segways are definitely the way to go! After the tutorial and a bit of practice on them we had no trouble controlling our inner speed demons. We're hoping for Segway racing on our next outing!

Chris chose a tortoise front with blue speckles and deep blue temples for a year round look to compliment any wardrobe.

I was getting a pedicure/manicure at a little shop on Grand Ave in St. Paul. I put my glasses down on the table and moments later a woman picked them up and put them in her purse. I said 'er um ah I think those are mine' and she said 'no they’re mine'. She put them on and realized that we had the same glasses! She proceeded to haul out about six different pairs from her purse and told me how much she loves eyebobs.

We are so excited to announce that eyebobs reading glasses have made their way to the big screen. eyebobs’ Fishbowl will appear on the face of Oscar-winner Michael Caine in the soon to be released movie, Inception.

This film looks super exciting with amazing special effects. Writer/director Christopher Nolan, who also did The Dark Knight (one of the highest grossing films in history) and the mind-bending Memento, directs an all star international cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Ken Watanabe, and Tom Berenger through a maze of the subconscious mind where anything is possible. We can’t wait! In theaters July 16th.

On May 6 &7 the Minnesota Orchestra organization WAMSO held a fundraiser luncheon in which area designers created a table top design with a four place setting. Joni George of Joni George Interiors designed a London Garden Party theme using Liberty of London dinnerware. Joni chose eyebobs reading glasses to compliment each place setting.

Doesn’t it just make you wish you were on the veranda of a grand estate sipping tea and wearing your eyebobs to read Emily Bronte?

Some people love it (like eyebobs fan, Ron from Los Angeles, at right) and some people just don’t know what to think! The eyebobs Half Wit is the irreverent and slightly jaded version of a bifocal reading glass. It has a lens only in the bottom half of the frame leaving the top half empty. Yes, really.

It works great for today's reader wearer who doesn't want to wear their glasses perched on the end of their nose like a cranky librarian. It is highly functional! You can wear it up high like regular glasses while reading and still look up at everything around you. Be prepared to be noticed, wearing a frame like this can be very attention getting.

And beware: your friends and family will be very tempted to poke you in the eyes Three Stooges style!

Some things are better left to the professionals as one customer found out after she put her eyebobs in the oven!

eyebobs frames are optical quality frames. This means that the frames can be adjusted for a custom fit by a trained optician. An optician will heat the frame in a special heater then mold the frames to personally fit your face. This is especially nice for those of us with crooked noses, one ear higher than the other, or for those of us who often fall asleep in our eyebobs. We recommend you have your glasses adjusted every 6 months for optimal fit and comfort.
